Hello! My name is Mrs. Irwin, and it is my pleasure to be teaching first grade at Edmunds! I have been teaching first grade since 2012. It is such a wonderful age for students to grow and learn! I have my Master’s in Language, Literacy, and Specialized Instruction from DePaul University. I have a wonderful husband, Rob, that makes me laugh every day! We are the proud parents of a French Bulldog puppy named Frankie. Frankie loves to play outside, snooze, and eat yogurt! I grew up in Des Moines and went to Drake University before moving to Chicago for the last several years. I am a proud aunt of Caleb (7th grade) and Bailey (2nd grade). I LOVE to read and learn, and it is my goal as an educator to pass that love of learning on to my students.
Welcome to third grade! My name is Katie Mishler and this is my third year teaching. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa where I earned my degree in elementary education and endorsement in literacy. I love teaching reading and watching students grow and explore with literature. I am very excited for this new journey.
In my spare time you will find me enjoying quality time with my husband and two dogs. We are often out of town on weekends camping and taking in different scenic adventures. When I am not camping, I am spending time in the kitchen baking! I have a sweet tooth and some of my specialties consist of cherry pie, chocolate chip cookies, and coffee ice cream.
Welcome to third grade! My name is Celeste Southall. I graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Elementary Education with a Math Endorsement. This is my second year at Edmunds but my third year of teaching. I love teaching math and facilitating student exploration in discovering new strategies and solving real-world problems.
In my spare time, you will find me at Crossfit, playing with my dog, or spending time with friends and family.
