Kindergartners Celebrate the 100th day of School!

Students and teachers celebrated the 100th day of school in February with activities throughout the  grade levels. Some teachers dressed up as an appropriately aged centragenarian, including gray hair and shawls; some read books about the number 100,  some classrooms had trivia contests about the number 100. In Ms. Steven’s Kindergarten Class, numbers got pretty serious (100 is a big number for  Kindergartners!) They celebrated by counting  out 100 fruit loops for necklaces. The students practiced grouping them and counting by 10’s to keep a steady count.  Students also worked in teams to build structures with 100 cups, and made hats to celebrate 100.  These learning-based activities were just the ticket to recognize this milestone day of the school year!
