Edmunds Kids Revel in the Season on Their Trip to an Apple Orchard

Second graders at Edmunds have been working on writing personal narratives, utilizing some of the writing skills that they have been learning. We are lucky at Edmunds to have such a diverse set of students,  representing over 27 different languages and cultures.  To help them better understand one of the traditional cultures in Iowa, the 2nd grade teachers raised funds to take the classes to the Center Grove Apple Orchard. The students were impressed with the whole experience, which included meeting and petting animals, as well as a Pumpkin Tour, where every student got to take home a mini pumpkin as a remembrance! A great experience and personal narrative in the making!
