Leonardo Da Vinci visits Edmunds Art

The Edmunds Elementary art room received a special visitor in March, an artist by the name of Leonard Da Vinci. The famous Renaissance genius was in the Edmunds art room for two days of classes, visiting with students and sharing his experiences in art, science, anatomy and many other disciplines that he excelled in. Students asked many questions about Leonardo’s achievements, his many successes, and even his failures.

Some students were suspicious of Leonardo’s visit (after all, Leonardo looked pretty good for being over 550 years old)! A few of the students claimed that he resembled their art teacher, David Borzo.  Regardless of the provenance of leonardo’s visit, every class at Edmunds had the opportunity to learn about his life, the Renaissance in Italy, and Leonardo’s influence on our lives today.
