May 13th was an exciting day for 2nd and 3rd graders at Edmunds. They were treated to a production of Curious George put on by the KPMG accounting firm. KPMG funds a literacy event called Families for Literacy in conjunction with First Book, providing thousands of books to students each year. Besides watching an exciting and funny production of a Curious George book, each student took home two books (one fiction and one nonfiction) as well an activity and a bracelet!  Each student was also able to enjoy a special treat and participate in a small group read-aloud of a favorite Curious George book.
