Hi! My name is Jackie Aguiniga and I have been a teacher with Des Moines Public Schools for 21 years. I attended Grand View University and have my masters degree from Viterbo University. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher and once I started working with DMPS I knew that this was where I wanted to stay. I have been so fortunate to work with so many wonderful students and watching them learn and grow is what keeps me going every day. I am married and have three wonderful children of my own and just enjoy getting to spend time with them. In my spare time, I love to teach dance, read, and attend the events of my children. I love being a Wildcat and I am proud to call DMPS my home!

Hi there! My name is Megan Kruse and I am the SUCCESS Case Manager at Edmunds. I went to Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA and studied psychology and human services. I went on to graduate school at Drake University where I studied Community Agency Counseling. I am a die-hard Iowa State Cyclone fan, and I did attend my first semester of graduate school there before I transferred to Drake, so I am technically a Cyclone too then right??! The best part of my job is building relationships with students and their families and helping them feel connected to school. I am always willing to help support families in identifying resources, both at school and in the community, to make sure everyone has what they need so our students can come to school ready to learn. When I am not working I enjoy traveling, gardening, reading, live music, watching movies and most importantly spending time with my family and friends.
Hello!!!! I am honored to be starting my 12th year at Edmunds as a SPED. Assistant. I love the fact that I am able to at least make a few children smile everyday. My passion is to be able to capture as many kids hearts as possible. Our children are our future lets help them make it bright. #SavingGrace

I have been married for 42 years to my high school sweetheart. We have one daughter, a son-in-law, three amazing grandchildren, and one very spoiled fur baby named Sydney. We enjoy living here in West Des Moines. I believe the saying “IOWA NICE” to be a true statement! My husband and I attend a wonderful church, we enjoy going to estate sales together, and I love to read a good book and take a nap on my deck.
Hello!! I am excited to start my 6th year at Edmunds, and my 16th year of teaching in DMPS.
My favorite thing about coming to Edmunds each day is working with the students and teachers, and watching them take risks to learn and grow over the course of the year!
