P.J. Day at Edmunds Draws Attention To Homelessness
Edmunds students and staff participated in PJ Day Iowa in February, wearing their pajamas to school for the day, in an effort to highlight the issues of homelessness. Project PJ is not only fun, it is an inspirational event that helps brings awareness to homelessness in Central Iowa.
For most people, putting on pajamas before heading to bed is part of their daily routine. However, for hundreds of men, women and children who are homeless in Iowa, getting comfortable before bedtime – let alone finding a warm place to sleep at night – is not an option. Project PJ serves as a visible reminder that everyone needs a warm, safe place to sleep. Highlighting this issue with Edmunds students and staff is an annual tradition.
