Kindergartners write, count and sip!

This month the  Edmunds students in Ms. Speck’s  Kindergarten class celebrated winter with some writing, math, and Hot Chocolate! This tasty lesson started with the students working on informative writing; they learned how to make hot chocolate, and were tasked with writing out the step by step instructions on how to make the perfect cup . For the mathematical element,  the kindergartners are working on counting and addition; that task involved counting their marshmallows in their hot coco, and share the math in a sentence with those sitting around them. This delicious math and writing project was a blast!
