Edmunds 5th Graders Learn About Business at JA Biz Town

On November 15, the Edmunds fifth grade classes spent the day at JA Biz Town, sponsored by Junior Achievement of Central Iowa. They had a fun and instructive day of learning financial literacy. They learned how to run a business, pay off loans, and work as a team. Biz Town, located in Des Moines, exists to inspire and prepare youth to succeed in all walks of life. Students learned how to use a debit card, write a check, and balance a checkbook. A big shout-out to the volunteers from the Teammates program, as well as Bank of the West, for helping make the day a success for all!
