Many Edmunds Elementary students from 2nd through 5th grades participated in the YMCA Flag Football program this fall. Games  were played Saturdays at the Grubb Y,  from September to the end of October. The young Edmunds boys and girls made up three of the 15 teams in the league. They learn the fundamentals of the game, the value of teamwork and the importance of personal effort. These are fundamental tenets of the “Y’s” emphasis on health and well-being. The games also brought teachers to the fields to cheer on their students, a great way to spend an hour on crisp Autumn day!
