Edmunds Art Students Sound the Alarm!

On Thursday October 11th, several Des Moines Public School students were honored for their art work in a Poster contest sponsored by the Des Moines Fire Department. The contest was designed to help highlight Fire Prevention Week (October 7th-13th) and all schools in Des Moines were invited to enter works. At the  winner’s reception, held at the Des Moines Social Club, four Edmunds students were recognized for their poster art, done in their art classes at Edmunds.  The students were joined by family members and others from the Edmunds community as they received their awards, as well as an official Fire Department T-shirt from the Fire Chief himself! Students took the contest opportunity as an educational and artistic challenge. Congratulations to the Edmunds art student winners!
