Culture Fair Rocks Edmunds
On Thursday May 18th, Edmunds Elementary students and families gathered at the school to celebrate world culture. The theme for the Annual Culture Fair at Edmunds was “We Are the World: Each one Unique, Together a Masterpiece.” During the month of May, Edmunds students researched continents and countries, each grade level taking a continent as their own to concentrate their learning on.
In addition to their research, the students experienced Cultural Presentations from CultureALL Ambassadors, as well as Edmunds’ Music and Art teachers. These presentations showcased Art, Music, Dance and History from various Countries and Cultures.
The students prepared a Project Based Learning artifact to demonstrate their knowledge; the projects were presented all over the school that night at the Culture Fair. In addition to the presentations, the families were treated to dinner, and a Cultural Dance Party!
