Edmunds 1st Graders Welcome Spring!
Mrs. Irwin’s first grade class has been patiently waiting for spring, and it looks like it is finally here! To help welcome the warm weather the students made self-esteem flowers, that showed how each of us has special strengths that we contribute to our class. We all have different abilities, but we know that we are better together. When we are respectful, responsible, and caring, we can do anything we put our mind to!
The class has also been reading books that promote individuality and discussing the special qualities that make us all unique. Favorites have included Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun, by Maria Dismondy and Giraffes Can’t Dance, by Giles Andreae.
