Edmunds Artist Show Versatility at the 2017 DMPS Art Exhibit!

Congratulation to the young Edmunds artists who have work displayed in the DMPS Art Show, a singular honor for only a handful of students each year. For 2017,  Edmunds’ participation included students from most grade levels and included work done in pastels to paper cuts and from clay work to mixed media!

The opening reception for the artists was held at Capital Square downtown on Thursday, March 2nd, and the arrt will be displayed until March 8th. Artists and their families attended, as well as many Edmunds teachers. The artists from Edmunds this year were:

* Re’Nay Whitfield – Pastel, 1st Grade

* Ramon Alvarado-Megallanes –  Clay, 2nd Grade (now attending Garton)

* Reagan Semple, Paper cuts, 3rd Grade

* Ja’Majzeon Barnett- Mixed Media, 4th Grade

* Shahenaz Ibrahim – Mixed Media, 4th Grade

* Soniya Gurung – Ink, 5th Grade

* Ikran Hassan – Graphite, 5th grade
