Pajama Day at Edmunds Raises Awareness and Needed Resources
Edmunds students and staff participated in PJ Day Iowa on Friday, January 27, 2017 in the effort to to help put the issue of homelessness to bed. The teachers and students wearing pajamas to school for the day served as a visible reminder that everyone deserves a safe place to sleep at night. Students and staff also collected donations ranging from canned good and non-perishable food items, to personal pantry products. These items will be donated to local organization Joppa, which is a volunteer-base non-profit that helps homeless people survive, get housing and rebuild their lives. Students and staff enjoyed the opportunity to relax in their PJ’s and contribute, helping bring about awareness and give back to the community. It was a memorable way to share this message with the community and to show their support for those in need.
