Students Create Mural
Wednesday Art classes at Edmunds are focused on the creation of a mural located on the second floor. The 24 foot long/12 foot high mural has been planned and executed by Edmunds students and Edmunds art teacher David Borzo. The Wednesday art project is being executed over the three trimesters of the school year: the second trimester students drew the mural ideas that were provided by first trimester students, and now 3rd trimester students are painting the images. Everything from flowers and tigers, dragons, dinosaurs, exotic fish and multiple world images are represented. The name of the piece is “School of Edmunds” and, says Mr. Borzo, “this mural project is a great opportunity for the students to collaborate and see how their own contribution fits into the group’s effort.” As the 3rd trimester students are painting the mural the finish line is in sight. The project is planned to be completed in June as the Edmunds extended school year comes to a close.
