Second Grade Mentors

The second graders in Miss Forts room have been working hard to accomplish wonderful things in reading. The kids enjoy several kinds of books and have been working on different comprehension skills, such as story element, character response and retelling stories. The 2nd graders also love to read to their kindergarten reading partners; they are natural  mentors for the kindergarten friends look up to the big 2nd graders! It’s a great opportunity for them to build relationships with other students. Students have been working extremely hard and are building an outstanding community here at Edmunds.
