Girls Group at Edmunds

The Girls Group at Edmunds Elementary meets weekly for an hour and a half, consisting of over a dozen 5th grade girls. During the group’s meetings the girls learn about positive relationships, self-esteem, empowerment and many other important topics influencing young girls today. The girls group is currently planning community service projects, learning Zumba, and later this spring there will be some high school girls volunteering to help mentor the 5th graders during the group’s gatherings. The group is funded by the Chrysalis Foundation and facilitated by Katie Barry, Success Case Manager for Edmunds.
