Spring Concert at Edmunds Hits a High Note!

The Edmunds Elementary Spring Concert for 3rd through 5th grades was a big hit!  Hosted by  music teacher Ms. Rasmussen, the students performed in front of a packed house of parents, teachers and friends of Edmunds.  The 3rd Graders’ performance of  “A Million Dreams” was heart-felt, with a fantastic job performing on drums!  A crowd favorite from 4th grade was “Hard-Knock Life,” and they really enjoyed the intensity of the “Greatest Show,” where several students used buckets as drums.  The 5th grader’s favorite selection was “Rise Up” and they ended the show with a big bang with the song “I Can,”  when many students performed their own original rap.  Local rapper, Emmett Phillips, came in during the school day several times to work with the rappers,  to improve their flow. Mr. Emmett was also the guest conductor for the song “I Can” at the concert. The show ended to the cheers of the entire room when the 5th graders sang “I know I can be what I wanna be! If I work hard at it, I’ll be what I wanna be!” Bravo!
