Edmunds students learn on and off the court

Dozens of Edmunds Students from 1st through 5th grades participated in the 2015-16 YMCA Basketball Season, with games held Saturdays at the Grubb YMCA. The YMCA of Greater Des Moines provided sponsorship for many the teams, the students learning the fundamentals of the game, the importance of of personal effort and the rewards of team play. The “Y”’s motto is that “everybody plays and everybody wins.” Good sportsmanship was always emphasized, and the students gained experience both winning and losing on the court!
