Iowa Wild Hockey

On February 16th a group of Edmunds students attended an Iowa Wild hockey game at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The tickets to the game – as well as new floor hockey equipment and jerseys for the school – were donated to Edmunds by the Iowa Wild organization. For the big game against the Rockford Ice Hogs, 20 Edmunds students from the third, fourth and fifth grades attended the game along with several Edmunds staff members as chaperones. For many of the students and teachers it was the first time they had been to an Iowa Wild game. A great time was had by all as the young hockey fans munched on popcorn, cheered along with the crowd, and posed with movie characters before the game. The staff and students were grateful to have been selected as one of the schools to receive the equipment donation and to see the Iowa Wild in action!
